Holding Hands - Flashmob for Peace, against all wars, against all human-made cruelty, none excluded.
As an artist, since 2012 I have been an Ambassador for Michelangelo Pistoletto's Third Paradise Project, a Worldwide initiative to create harmony between humans and nature. Since then, I have created performances in the UK, Italy and Iceland supported by Michelangelo Pistoletto and shown in museums and galleries around Europe, such as the Louvre, Cittadellarte Biella and the Telegraph Museum in Cornwall.
On Monday 13 March, 2023 at 13:00 I made a performance/peace demonstration to hold hands and form a human chain of peaceful resistance. The performance took place on the frozen Reykjavík Pond at a temperature of -17C.
This event was organised with the patronage of the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo, responsible for Italian cultural promotion in Iceland, and the support of Progetto Rebirth - Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto ONLUS.
WHO IS EMILIA TELESE?
Emilia Telese (Sarno, 1973) is an Italian interdisciplinary artist, making conceptual and time based art since 1994. Past exhibitions include the Louvre (Paris 2012), the Venice Biennale (2005), Ars Electronica (Linz, 2002 - 2003), ZKM (Karlsruhe, 2007), The Freud Museum (London 2010) and more. Her practice focuses on conscious engagement, political and social debate, non-verbal communication and the questioning
of stereotypes.
WHO IS MICHELANGELO PISTOLETTO?
Michelangelo Olivero Pistoletto (Biella, 25 June 1933) is an Italian artist, painter and sculptor, one of the main protagonists of the Arte Povera movement. He has developed original artistic solutions, experimenting with numerous materials and techniques, with the aim of actively involving the viewer within his work.
WHAT IS CITTADELLARTE?
Cittadellarte is the home of Fondazione Pistoletto, occupying a disused industrial wool mill, which since the end of the last century has been producing social fabric rather than wool fabric. It acts, creates and operates in different aspects of human activities in search of responsible and sustainable social transformation.

Il 13 marzo 2023 alle 13:00 ho organizzato un Flashmob per la pace, contro tutte le guerre, contro ogni crudeltà creata dall'uomo, nessuna esclusa.
Dal 2012 sono Ambasciatrice per l'Islanda del Progetto Terzo Paradiso di Michelangelo Pistoletto, un'iniziativa mondiale dell'artista biellese focalizzata sull'armonia tra esseri umani e natura.
Lunedì 13 Marzo 2023 alle 13,00 ho incontrato chiunque volesse unirsi a me in una performance/manifestazione per la pace per formare mano nella mano una catena umana di resistenza pacifica. La performance si é svolta a -17C sul lago cittadino di Reykjavík, ricorperto di ghiaccio.
L'evento è stato organizzato con il patrocinio dell'Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Oslo e con il supporto del Progetto Rebirth/Terzo Paradiso di Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto ONLUS.

COS'È CITTADELLARTE?
Cittadellarte è la sede della Fondazione Pistoletto, che occupa un lanificio industriale dismesso, che dalla fine del secolo scorso produce tessuto sociale più che tessuto di lana. Agisce, crea e opera in diversi aspetti delle attività umane alla ricerca di una trasformazione sociale responsabile e sostenibile.

Frá 2012 hef ég verið sendiherra fyrir þriðja paradísarverkefni Michelangelo Pistoletto, sem er frumkvæði um allan heim til að skapa sátt milli manns og náttúru.
Mánudaginn 13. mars 2023 kl. 13.00 hitti ég alla sem vildu vera með mér í gjörningi/sýningu fyrir frið til að mynda mannlega keðju friðsamlegrar andspyrnu hönd í hönd. Gjörningurinn fór fram við -17C á ísilögðu borgarvatni Reykjavíkur.
Þessi atburður er skipulagður undir verndarvæng ítölsku menningarstofnunarinnar í Ósló og með stuðningi Progetto Rebirth - Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto ONLUS.

Cittadellarte er heimili Fondazione Pistoletto, þar sem ónýtt iðnaðarullarverksmiðja, sem síðan í lok síðustu aldar hefur framleitt félagslegt efni frekar en ullarefni. Það starfar, skapar og starfar á mismunandi þáttum mannlegra athafna í leit að ábyrgri og sjálfbærri félagslegri umbreytingu.
